Murder Charge Over Primrose Hill Stabbing
Finbar Sullivan, a 21-year-old film student, was found stabbed to death near the iconic viewing point in Primrose Hill on Tuesday. The Met confirmed that 27-year-old Oliuwadamilola Ogunyankinnu, from Southbury Road, Enfield, had been arrested on Friday and formally charged with murder on Sunday. He is set to appear at Stratford Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
A second individual, in his 20s, was also discovered with stab wounds on Regent’s Park Road nearby. His injuries were evaluated as non-life-threatening, though he was hospitalized for assessment. Meanwhile, a 25-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assisting the offender has been released without further action.
Family’s Heartfelt Reflections
“All of his friends said he was the light, the leader. His friends’ parents loved him. This is why it’s so tragic,” shared Chris Sullivan, 65, Finbar’s father, speaking to BBC London.
The Metropolitan Police stated that the investigation into the incident remains active. Sullivan, who studied at the London Screen Academy, was remembered as a cherished figure among his peers and community. Further details about the case are expected as the probe continues.
