Virgin Atlantic Reimagines Heathrow Lounge with Cinema, Work Pods, and Wellness Zones
Virgin Atlantic has launched a fresh transformation of its Clubhouse at London Heathrow, introducing innovative features such as a cinema section, private workspaces, and a wellness-focused spa area. This update marks the first stage of a comprehensive overhaul, aimed at elevating the experience for its premium passengers.
As part of the redesign, Upper Class members now have access to enhanced comforts and exclusive services within the ground-level lounge. The new layout includes a range of seating arrangements tailored for different guest needs, from business travelers to couples, ensuring greater flexibility and convenience.
Royal Box: A Theatrical VIP Retreat
The newly added Royal Box offers a secluded, high-end experience with luxurious red sofas and a unique ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’ centerpiece. This invite-only zone features Virgin’s signature red tones, brass accents inspired by London’s transport history, and a curated selection of sweet treats and champagne for a touch of indulgence.
Integrated power outlets and discreet storage solutions maintain the space’s sleek, functional design. The area also showcases custom lighting, greenery, and artwork by UK-based creators, blending aesthetics with practicality.
Cinema & Work Pods: Modern Spaces for Travelers
Emulating the ambiance of London’s private screening rooms and Soho lounges, the Cinema has been redesigned for immersive relaxation. It now includes royal blue armchairs, red sofas, and acoustic enhancements to deliver a premium viewing experience. Additionally, integrated charging ports and Bluetooth headphones are available for added convenience.
Two dedicated Work Pod studios have been installed, featuring modern desks and illuminated ‘on air’ indicators to signal availability. The design draws from Virgin Records’ legacy, incorporating framed vinyl records and streamlined tech integration.
Wellness Innovations: Limited-Time Pop-Ups
Guests can now enjoy two temporary wellness experiences at the Clubhouse, offering manicures, massages, and facials. These include three Somadomes—immersive wellness domes—available for complimentary sessions until May 31. The spaces combine light therapy, sound healing, and meditation techniques to provide mental refreshment in under 20 minutes.
Until April 30, the Secret Spa will also provide treatments such as express massages and glow-enhancing facials. To coincide with the airline’s new Seoul route, OSKIA skincare, OPI nail products, and K-beauty brands will be featured by expert therapists.
