Primrose Hill Stab Victim ‘Can Never Be Replaced’
A 21-year-old filmmaking student, Finbar Sullivan, was killed in a violent altercation near a scenic overlook in Primrose Hill, his father has shared. The incident occurred shortly after 18:30 BST on Tuesday, with Finbar succumbing to his injuries at the scene. His father, Christopher Sullivan, spoke to the Daily Mail about the tragic loss, emphasizing that his son was “the worst tragedy I could ever imagine.” He added that Finbar was his sole child and described him as a “beautiful, lovely, outgoing, loving boy.”
Finbar, who studied at the London Screen Academy, was known for creating music videos under the pseudonym Sully Shot It. His passion for filmmaking was inspired by his grandfather, Michael Seresin, a renowned cinematographer who contributed to films such as Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Rambo III. Christopher mentioned his son had used a camera gifted for his birthday during the attack, which took place at the park.
“He’d gotten very ill recently and everyone was so worried about him. It affected his eyesight, but he was getting better. He was a visual person,” said Ellen Kinnally, a PR professional from New York and Finbar’s close friend, in an interview with The Times.
Ellen noted that Finbar had been unwell before the incident but was recovering. The Metropolitan Police are seeking information, images, or video footage from the location, though no arrests have been made yet. During the confrontation, a second man in his early 20s also suffered stab wounds, though his condition is not life-threatening.
Christopher stressed that his son was “not a gang member” but a “groovy 21-year-old who loved movies and making films.” The family is now mourning the loss of a young talent whose dreams were cut short.
