EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Diana’s Wedding Gown Designer Faces Financial Collapse
In 1981, Lady Diana Spencer’s iconic wedding at St Paul’s Cathedral captured global attention, with David Emanuel’s creation—designed in collaboration with his wife Elizabeth—adored by an estimated 750 million viewers. The ivory silk taffeta and lace ensemble, featuring a 25-foot train, remains a celebrated moment in fashion history.
Yet, the gown has not secured David Emanuel’s long-term financial stability. Recently disclosed records reveal both his businesses, Licensed to Design (founded in 2002) and Renaissance Man (established in 2018), have filed for liquidation, carrying debts totaling nearly £300,000. Statements of Affairs show assets valued at £164,000 as uncertain, with no immediate funds available for creditors.
Liabilities include £72,000 in corporation tax owed to HMRC, £103,000 to NatWest Bank, and £33,000 to Ovo Energy. David’s former spouse Elizabeth, along with his daughter Eloise, are listed as creditors, with the latter claiming £5,000 from each company. The Welsh designer, 73, has admitted his business debts following a High Court ruling in 2024, where he lost a case against Elizabeth over alleged copyright infringement.

“This is my first child with Amar Daved, whom I married in a lavish French wedding last summer,” she explained. The Oxford graduate, who once held a position as head chorister at Salisbury Cathedral, expressed the weight of the situation: “We’re more stressed than thrilled, but the joy of new life is worth it.”

During a play session with friends, Ewan suffered a severe injury where his finger was completely cut off. “When I say severed, I mean severed,” the 50-year-old ballroom dancer said, detailing the emergency.
The family rushed to Kingston hospital before being transferred to St George’s for specialized plastic surgery. “The NHS saved his finger,” Boag emphasized in a video post, thanking medical staff for their swift action. Ewan is now recovering and expected to return to sports and piano playing.

The model and artist wore a brown pagan-inspired dress, a gothic headpiece, and a vintage pendant, completing her warrior-maiden aesthetic with two thick braided plaits.
“I embrace eclectic fashion,” Tali previously remarked, highlighting her personal approach to clothing. The event underscored her connection to her mother’s artistic legacy, blending creativity with a dramatic tribute to historical attire.
