GB News confirmed that broadcaster Eamonn Holmes is currently in a hospital after experiencing a stroke. The channel stated that Holmes fell ill last week, with the stroke later diagnosed. His condition is described as stable, and the organization expressed optimism about his recovery.

A Career Spanning Decades

The veteran presenter, 66, has spent over 30 years in television. He began his career at UTV, hosting Good Evening Ulster, before transitioning to GMTV in 1993. Holmes later joined Sky News, co-fronting Sunrise, and became a staple of ITV’s This Morning alongside Ruth Langsford, his wife, from 2010 until 2024.

In 2024, Holmes and Langsford announced their decision to end their marriage, entering divorce proceedings. He was honored with an OBE in 2018 for his contributions to the media industry. Now, fellow GB News host Alex Armstrong will temporarily take his place during the upcoming week.
