A 19-year-old woman, identified as Jamie-Lea Biscoe, lost her life after suffering fatal injuries in a dog attack at her home in Long Hide, Leaden Roding, near Dunmow. Essex Police arrived at the scene at 22:45 BST on Friday, discovering her in critical condition. Despite the emergency services’ best efforts, she was pronounced dead on the spot.
A 37-year-old man from Dunmow has been taken into custody on suspicion of allowing a dog to behave dangerously, leading to serious harm. The canine was confiscated by authorities, and specialists secured the area to ensure safety. A police cordon remains around the property as of Sunday.
