Prince Harry Sued by Charity He Co-Founded for Defamation
A charity co-founded by the Duke of Sussex is taking legal action against him, as revealed in court records. The organization, which focuses on aiding young individuals in Africa, has filed a lawsuit against Prince Harry, with the case dated March 24th. Details about the claim remain undisclosed, as representatives from both parties have yet to provide additional information.
Prince Harry departed from the charity last year amid a heated disagreement regarding its management. The legal documents indicate that he is listed as a defendant, alongside Mark Dyer, another former board member, in a case categorized under “defamation – libel and slander.” No other supporting documents or further details have been released.
In March 2025, Prince Harry and his co-founder, Prince Seeiso, along with a group of trustees, exited the charity following a conflict with its chair, Sophie Chandauka. The Charity Commission’s inquiry highlighted that responsibility was shared among all parties, criticizing the public nature of the dispute which negatively impacted the charity’s reputation.
Sentebale operates in Botswana and Lesotho, concentrating on improving the health and overall well-being of young people, particularly those affected by HIV and AIDS. For the latest updates on royal matters, subscribe to our Royal Watch newsletter.
