Ice Cube and ‘War of the Worlds’ top the Razzies

The 46th Razzie Awards have unveiled their results, with a single film claiming multiple dubious accolades. The 2025 adaptation of War of the Worlds emerged as the most criticized, securing several of the night’s top honors, including worst picture, worst remake/rip-off sequel, worst screenplay, worst director, and worst actor, which went to Ice Cube.

Despite its six total nominations, War of the Worlds narrowly missed out on the worst screen combo category, which was awarded to the seven CGI dwarfs from last year’s Disney live-action remake Snow White. The animated ensemble also claimed the worst supporting actor prize. The Golden Raspberry Awards, or Razzies, are known for their satirical take on cinema, celebrating films that fall short of excellence with humor and irony.

As customary, the Razzie winners were revealed the day prior to the Oscars, continuing the tradition of timing the ceremony for maximum contrast. This year’s Razzie Redeemer Award was presented to Kate Hudson for Song Sung Blue, following her 2021 nomination for worst actress in Music.
